“I came as soon as I could. Are you ok?’’ I ask with much concern.
I just arrived at her place. Jackie had an accident. Her boda guy collided with a reckless rider who was drunk. He spoke liquor more than he pronounced words while giving his statement at the police station.
Thank God, it wasn’t that serious. Out of fright, she jumped off the boda: a foolish act that could have cost her life. I wonder how that happened! Silent chuckles.
“I am alright, just a few bruises,” she replies with a post-fright syndrome. It must have been very hard on her!
“Never try such a ninja move,” I caution.
“What did you want me to do? Let myself roll with the cycle!” she asks while staring at me with scrutiny, speechless I look back without uttering a letter.
“Since you are speechless, guess you know no better, ” she asserts: mood swing alert.
“I didn’t think you would be offended… l am sorry,” I claim and swiftly apologize. I don’t need a catfight now.
“Well, it’s was my life on the line. It’s much of a deal,” She rants with a frown.
“Ok now, I won’t take part in this… At Least not now. I will get going. If you need me, let me know.” I stand, peck her forehead and head out. I can’t do this, not now, not with her.
