#Afictionalstory
“Assume something better comes your way when you are stable,” declaration as I playfully twist a pen with my index and thumb. Speaking stealthily to lock my guilt so that not a drop of adrenaline reflects in my consciousness.
“What do you mean by better?”His response, calculated. I can see his curiosity laying out like a sun on a bright morning. Whatever he is thinking I don’t want him to reach my state of mind.
“Just respond.” “What will you do?” Trying to create humour because I fear for the cat to find its freedom: I need the bag to close tightly.
“Oh well,” “Better is good but is that where you want to go?” “I am not good at advice. That’s if it happens to make sense.”
“Thank you, it just got worse.” His plain response: a fire to my blazing confusion.
“Just make sure you are making the right decision” The concentration is rooted back to his work.
