Every wall shows an undeniable foreign touch. The planner must have envisioned Europe when decorating the interior. I didn’t give a keen eye to the exterior. Getting out of the car, we walked in saying little to each other. Facing her, we sit in a cosy and colourful area.
We are waiting for our order taken by a young man whose manner earned him a compliment from Jackie. The arrangement is well aligned: sided by two tables with guests all at a distance with fellas’ attention built to their company.
She seemed to like her tone and speech: a confession later that “he reminds me of a colleague from our office who is kind and lively”.
“Why is it taking so long?” Impatiently, she earnestly asks. “I don’t know… We have been here the entire time. It should be here in a moment.” My response calm and considerate. “Why didn’t we go back?” speaking with stealth desperation. I notice and smirk. “Well, I wanted to come here and experience their service. Don’t you like it here?” ” l am sorry, let’s wait.”
