“Glad you finally honoured my invite,” she ushers us into a hall with a preacher who reads a bible scripture with undeniable affection. The silence in the room p one second guess their every step. Theyj congregation attentively listen wholeheartedly. We are led to sjit next to a young lady. “Thank you,” I whisper as we sit, leaving Pamela to get back at the entrance.

“Did I have to come?” she asks with agitation as we listen to the sermon. “You are my date for the evening. Can we listen?” The murmurs distract the lady next to us, making her turn and stare in utter disdain.

“We find peace in the Lord when we certify our lives to his glory. Our ways are a reflection of our faith in Jesus Christ.” The preacher speaks to congregants whose respect and trust have been earned over time. His sermon is set to help his listeners walk on a path of righteousness. With every word, he depicts his love for each one of them. He utters every law that would make one a Christian. He allures them into living a Christian life, telling them about the wonders of staying rooted in his faith. And reminds them of the one true saviour.
